Can I recover deleted recordings from HDPVR?

Hello,

Has anyone an idea how I can retrieve my 88 pvr recordings after a PVR update to 4k? The Bell technician told me everything is stored on "Bell's cloud" which I learned is non existent .

Called Bell support 3 times but they all claimed the recordings are stored on the PVR directly and there's no way to get them back.

Read on the Internet though that Bell stores them for 45 days on their servers???

Hey @Ck, Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post!

I know how frustrating it can be to lose saved recordings.

All recordings are saved on the HDD within the PVR. You may still be able to access any recordings from the older PVR on your FibeTV app for about 24hrs after changing PVRs though.

I don’t think you can . I did same thing and it was gone . I protect my pvr recordings so I don’t lose them . I know it's not fun

Thanks Wakka197 but I'm thinking I wasn't all that clear with what happened. We lost all of our recordings at once, even the ones that we had protected (about 75% of them were protected). I'm not sure how this would even be possible without there being some sort of warning popping up saying "are you sure you want to delete everything on your PVR?". Also a bit stumped as to how Bell cannot have something like this in their FAQ, we certainly can't be the only people to have done this

Wow man that sounds something wrong with the box . Usally when you deleted it one at a time . But sounds like error or something casue that I have never heard of . Have you contacted bell directly .

Protected is when recording you check so when your pvr hard drive full it does not automatically get rid of it .

Taped Shows on PVR

I’m switching over to the Fibe optic. I have a bunch of shows taped on my current PVR. Will I lose them when it’s flipped over?

Archive Recordings from VIP2262 PRV

Anyone know of any way to archive/backup recordings from a 2262 so that they can be viewed on an updated 2262?

I was forced to upgrade so that the PRV would connect through the VAP wireless to the new Hub.

Or backup the recordings to an external drive?

Was watching a recorded show, and it froze around 9:09, and wouldn't work. Started again, same thing. So, I just did a reboot, and it looks like it did an update...and now my recordings are gone. This is absolute garbage, and I am so fed up of this.

4k pvr reciever died, will saved content dissappear?

I have a new reciever comming, when I connect it will I still have access to all my saved shows?

Officially, nah. But some people on other platforms repeatedly said they can swap the disk and keep the recordings without any consequence. Not sure if it works when activating a replacement.

Lost Fibe TV recordings after app updated

Two nights ago there was an update as the TV app froze and and forced an update.

Initially after the update there wasn’t any PVR service available and when service was restored all my previously recorded PVR shows were gone.

what’s going on and when can I expect my PVR saved items to be restored??
