My apologies. I’m trying still to connect my satellite pvr to my home WiFi. And the PVR remote doesn’t have a question mark. I’ve tried all the shift lower and upper and anything else I could. I just can’t find it. It seems odd I know.

That is a tough question to answer! I trust you are trying to setup Wi-Fi on a Smart TV?

My first response is this:

Which remote keypad are you trying to use to input your Wi-Fi password for your TV? TV or Fibe remote?

To setup WI-Fi on your TV you would normally use the manufacturer of the TV's remote. This is normally completed via the setup / configuration menu for the TV. Most popular tv manufacturers use a querty type keyboard.... there are exceptions. Look carefully at the onscreen keyboard layout for shift-key / alt-key, lower, upper, numeric & miscellaneous keyboard selections. There is always something there distinguishing between between upper / lower & non numeric keys. These are normally located below the querty alpha & numeric key board selection. Every manufacturer has a somewhat different keyboard layout for inputting characters.

Trust me, it will be there....... If you have a new Smart tv, instructions for Internet / WI-Fi setup will be included in the E-manual.

We recently had to change wifi router. Everything is connected with exception of the Bell 9500 receiver. I see the network and want to type in password...took awhile to figure out the special characters were located by hitting case button ... everything is there...%!& >* but no ?. I tried to call tech support was told it goes through tv. We have LG smart tv and it is connected to wifi no issue. And there would be no issue here...whole password is in just need a ?. And calling router provider and changing password is not an option. I cannot wrap my head around 2024 and a leading tech company can't help fix their onscreen keyboard. Any help is greatly appreciated!

This is not an acceptable answer to the question as it has nothing to do with the 9500 Satellite box. You cannot input a '?' at all. That is the questionwhere to find that character so you can connect the BOX to the wifi. NOT the TV... and still no one has an answer...

Again, your response addresses the TV . Not the 9500 Bell satellite box... the question was never about the TV itself. So.. let's pretend the TV is a little older and doesn't have 'smart' features so we're going to access Netflix through the 9500 SATELLITE box..our wifi password is querty567?... using the bell remote where do we access the '?' Is not there with the rest of the special characters.

Thank you very much for reaching out to the Bell Community.

We have checked into this further and confirmed that there is no question mark available in the 9500 on screen key board.

We recommend that you modify your Wi-Fi password to include a different special character. Or, if possible connect your receiver to the internet directly via Ethernet.

So I have to change my wireless password so I can connect my receiver on my wifi? So I will have to reinstall all my security cameras from the beginning, Xbox, and all the devices in the house? Seems like you should add the question mark on that key board. All passwords now require special characters. The least you could do is have all of them.

This is not something that can be resolved & corrected on the Bell Community Forum. I completely understand where you are coming from. In your case because you chose a ? mark as a character prior to adding your Bell Satellite TV 9500, it now needs to changed to something else.

I can only recommend that you modify your Wi-Fi password to include a different special character.
