Program Fibe TV remote to control DVD player?

When Bell Fibe was installed the technician programmed the remote to turn on and off the TV. I have a separate remote for the TV which I used to play the DVD player. I can no longer do this. Is there a solution?

The Fibe TV remote is not programmable with a DVD player. You will need to use a different remote to control your player. For your old remote, you will need to consult with the remote manufacturer to pair it back to your DVD player.

@BellNick is giving you some very sound advise. Old technology does not mix well with new technology. There are alternatives & they can be very pricey!

Depending on the vintage of your TV, DVD player & the remotes you are using, many of todays Smart TV's can be configured to control just about anything. E.g. Samsung QN90B, Q80A, LG, Sony, etc.

They are equipped with Smart remotes that can pretty well control anything. E.g. Bell Fibe PVR, receivers, dvd player, sound systems, etc.

There is software built in to the TV & remote to load preset configurations that mimic the devices connected to you TV. Once again, the equipment you connect to the TV must be current & compatible. It is also very expensive to purchase.

This is an alternative. A very expensive one that is beyond most budgets.
