Skip password was an option to use call answer from my home phone until recently. Why has this has been eliminated? Its really tiresome to have to enter a password each time I access my messages.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Bell Home Phone does not support a "skip password" option for accessing voicemail. I suspect you may have done one of the following resulting in your requirement to enter your Voicemail password manually from your home phone. Please check out the following.

  • Have you recently changed your home phone telephone device or made any changes to your home phone device settings? Did you turn this device option off on your phone? If so, this may be the reason why you must manually enter your Call Answer Home phone voicemail.
  • Did you change your Call Answer password? If so, did you update the password on your home phone telephone?

Please refer to the telephone manufactures manual or support site for instructions on how to set up, change & program your password into your phone. E.g. Panasonic, VTech, etc. You will find these instructions in a section that refers to:  Voice Mail service for landline & storing your Voicemail (VM) access number.

  • Did you change any Call Answer personal options? E.g. Password or administrative options such as security settings, etc.
