I tried to call my office number this morning from my home land line, but even though our receptionist was there, the phone rang and rang with nobody picking up and voicemail would not pick up either. The receptionist said there were no calls coming in at those times. I called using my cell phone and got through no problem. Also called some other phone numbers (including Bell support) and my calls were answered without issue. Why would there be a problem getting through to one specific number? Our office recently switched to a VOIP system so I can't help but think it relates to that.

Hi Patricia. We didn't actually do the Fibe upgrade yet - I didn't have enough time available on Saturday when they showed up. But - the problem has been solved. It was to do with when our new service provider ported over the phone number from our old office. They did a tweak to the setup this morning and that appears to have solved our problem. Thanks for your help.

Hi there @ScottyB,
Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community 🙂
Do you have Fibe Home Phone or Copper?
Has anyone else reported that they are unable to get through when they call your office number? Which company supplies the office VOIP service, and have you contacted them directly to see if there are any issues?
Keep the Community posted,

Thanks Patricia. We currently have a copper service but as of tomorrow it will be hooked up to the Fibe cable so I'll see if that makes a difference. Since I discovered this problem yesterday we have now had two clients tell us that they were having the same problem when calling from a Bell landline - but no problem when calling on their cell phones. The VOIP service (actually a DSL service apparently) is supplied by Fibernetics. We did contact them and they can not find anything wrong at their end.

Hi there @ScottyB,
Thanks for your reply.
Are you able to get through to the office line after having your home phone service upgraded to Fibe?
