Hi! I just left Bell for a much less expensive carrier and asked that my phone number be ported to the new service. It was not. I am late trying to save the number I've had for about twenty years but I must tell the new service if it's still live before they put in the request to port. There are less than 2 hours before midnight. Can someone please help?
Thanks,
Tova

You should be contacting your new provider if and when you decide to port your current phone number, and they will let you know what details they'll need in order to port it. You will set up your new account with them providing the requested information to port your service. Your new provider will arrange for the transfer of your service from Bell. Your new service provider will cancel your existing service and start your new services with them.
If you have already cancelled your service with Bell & it is already disconnected, then it will be too late for you to port your number. You will need to contact your new home phone provider for further information in setting up your account.
