No dial tone on Home phone

How do I get a dial tone?  We have it plugged into the modem at tel1

There is a post in this thread that states their dial tone would frequently go out after they hit the talk button, " twice " to use speaker.

Has this been tested?

Also, did something happen with Panasonic? It seems everyone here having these issues has been using Panasonic wireless phone stations.

What type of Home Phone service are you using (Fibe or Copper)?

A great place to start is to test the speaker function on a different phone set to see if the issue persists.

We also recommend that you unplug the phone, and check all of the cords and outlets to make sure everything is secure and damage free.

Fibe TV went down several times over few days, last repair tonight after which I had no dial tone on my phone line.

Can you update us on the status of your phone line outage? Have you checked the Bell modem to see if there are any error messages displayed?

If there is an outage with your fibre service, all of your services including your Home phone will not be operational.

If your Home phone service is still not working, have you done any troubleshooting?

Home phone: troubleshooting tools, virtual repair tool and support (bell.ca)

Have you contacted Bell Customer Service Home phone tech support to report the problem?

Call: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.

landline apparently is out of service without any warning. N/T

I called Bell about static on my phone yesterday and there was supposed to be a tech show up sometime today between 8-5. My phone which is a landline only and used to be on the wall is completly dead.

Are you on copper of fibre? Did you try plugging in & using a different telephone?

If you are on copper, this can explain the staticky noise. Fibre in itself does not emulate noise or static.

Your issue can be caused by just about anything. E.g. Loose connections, moisture, the telephone, cord, inside wiring, jack, outside wiring, squirrels, etc.

You did the right thing in contacting Bell Repair service. The technician will be able to locate & isolate the source of the noise. 

Did you attempt to perform any trouble shooting before calling Bell Repair? Please have a look at the following. It may be of assistance to you.

All recommended steps haven been taken. Phone worked last night - Bell called and a tech was supposed to call prior to repairing the problem.], However there was no service this AM so I wouldn't know if a tech called or not. Can't find the email addy for Bell customer service to find out what is happening.

had to borrow a cell phone  -  Almost remedied... the line is live again but the static is still there. We were advised by the call center to clear the snow off our line or something. Had a tech actually shown up mid morning today after three or four days of circular call center help. We were fwd to an airline help desk once for some reason. The issue may/may be resolved tomorrow.

If you still have troubles after tomorrow, just let the Community know.

No phone again - had it work with a lot of static for a few days now absolute silence on it.

After 10 days of either nil phone access or heavy static on the line the phone is dead again this morning. Went thru all the machinations to remedy the issues in last weeks. Still no resolution.
