Could you please provide further details?
- Have you previously setup your Bell Call Answer voicemail on Bell Home phone? or
- Have you forgotten your Bell Call Answer voicemail password?
- Are you the account holder? Is the account in your name?
If you have previously setup your Bell Call Answer voicemail on Bell Home phone and have simply forgotten your password you can reset your password by choosing method 1 or 2 below.
- You can reset your voicemail password through MyBell at no charge. Log in to MyBell. Select > Home phone service. Select > View My package & features. Scroll down the page & Select > Go to Voicemail manager & follow the onscreen instructions to change your password.
- You can also reset your password by calling 6-1-1 from any Bell Home phone.
If you have not setup your Bell Call Answer voicemail previously on Bell Home phone, you can do so by following these instructions:
Setting up Call Answer
You will need to enter your temporary initial password. This is your 7-digit telephone number (no area code).
- From home, dial *98 . If away from home call 1-877-235-5777 and when prompted for your mailbox number, enter your 10-digit home telephone number.
- When prompted to enter a temporary password, enter your 7-digit telephone number (no area code)
- Follow the prompts to change the temporary password to a new one. It should be 4 to 15 digits and cannot start with 0.
- Follow the prompts to record your name or telephone number as a personal identification.
- Follow the prompts to record a personal greeting that callers will hear or select the pre-recorded greeting.
- Press the * key to exit. Your Call Answer is now activated.

In order to assist you, can you please provide us with further details?
- Is this a new Home phone service?
- Do you have Bell Home phone Choice?
- Have you verified that this feature has been activated ? Go to your MyBell account. Select > Services > Home phone > Package & features.
- Have you set up your Call Answer, voicemail? If not, you need to so before you can retrieve your messages.
- How are you accessing your voicemail?
- Are you trying to access your voicemail from Home or from another location?
- Have you contacted Bell Customer Service Tech support & requested assistance? To reach Bell Home phone tech support, please call: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.
I have included the following instructions to assist you in retrieving your Bell Home Phone voicemail messages.
To retrieve messages from home:
- Dial *98
- Enter your password.
- Follow the prompts to retrieve your messages.
To retrieve messages from another phone within your area code:
- Dial your telephone number.
- When you hear your greeting, press 9 immediately.
- Enter your password.
- Follow the prompts to retrieve your messages.
- Dial 1 877 BELL-777 or (1 877 235-5777) from anywhere in Canada or the U.S.
- Select your language preference.
- Enter your 10-digit Bell Home phone number when prompted for a mailbox number.
- You will then hear your recorded name.
- Enter your password if prompted.

Access to my voicemail on the home phone has been blocked. Apparently I have tried too many times. How do I get it restored?

If you have tried to access your voicemail incorrectly & you are locked out, allow the system to reset itself.
Please try again at a later time. If you have forgotten your voicemail password you can reset it through MyBell at no charge.
- Log in to MyBell. Select > Home phone service. Select > View My package & features. Scroll down the page & Select > Go to Voicemail manager & follow the onscreen instructions to change your password.
- You can also reset your password by calling 6-1-1 from any Bell Home phone.
If you are still unable to access your voicemail, you may need to contact Bell Customer Service Tech Support Home phone for assistance, please call: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.
