Hello,I think there is something wrong with my line. I tried texting a landline but I don’t get the message saying you’ll be charged $30 or I mean $.30. I think there’s something wrong with my line. I tried calling technical support and they said there is nothing really they could do at their end

Thank you for your question. What causes you to think it is your line? It may be that the recipient has a copper landline without the text to speech service. Did you try calling the number to see if it is working? That are many possible scenarios here.

Good Day & Welcome.

Text to Landline messaging allows you to send a text message from your mobile phone to any landline phone in Canada or the U.S. Text messages are converted into voice messages for the recipient.

In order to assist you, could you please confirm the details of the Text to Landline call you tried to initiate. Were you placing this call from a Bell mobility phone in Canada to a landline in Canada or the U.S.?

Which Bell Mobility plan do you subscribe to? Does your plan include: Unlimited calling, texting and data in Canada and / or the U.S. ?

Did you follow the instructions as shown below:

To send a Text to Landline message exactly as you would a regular text message.

  1. From your mobile device’s text messaging application, compose a new text message.
  2. Enter the recipient’s landline phone number in the “To” field.
  3. Send your text message.
  4. You will receive a confirmation text message – reply “Y” to accept the applicable charges and have your Text to Landline message delivered.
  • If the recipient replies, you will receive a text message with a toll-free number where you can listen to the reply.
  • To address a text message to multiple landline numbers, simply enter the recipients' phone numbers in the "To" field. Each phone number will be delivered and billed as a separate message.
  • Text to Landline is available in both English and French.
  • You can type your message in English or French and have the landline message delivered (or “read”) in the language of your choice. The default language is English.
  • To switch the delivery language: before writing your Text to Landline message, text "F" (for French) or "E" (to switch back to English) to short code 4122.

Take care.

Hey there @Santi333 ,

Thanks for letting us know.

Can you share more details, such as;

  • Were you able to send a text to landline to those numbers before?
  • Are you receiving any responses after you send the text (error code, failed delivery, no answer return, etc.)?
  • Are you following the steps as outlined in the link in the accepted solution above?
  • Have you tried deleting the text thread and starting a fresh one?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
