Can't install Bell McAfee - Bad Request error

McAfee, can't download

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

get bad request error message when installing McAfee. removed previous security software from computer.

Thank you for posting your question. I am fully aware of Bell McAfee Security web page error message. I have previously forwarded this issue on to a Bell moderator.

There is a known problem with the McAfee Security download web link on the MyBell web site. When you select Download, you are required to enter your Login & password. The "fedportal.ges.bell.ca" returns the error message "Bad request".

McAfee Security from Bell is still available for purchase & download. Please check out the notes that are included in the FAQ section on this same web page.

I saw that someone from Bell is finally engaged with this issue so I decided to try again and it worked today. All I had to do was click on Download and it took me to a McAfee page where I could download the software. No secondary login required.

I tested this out yesterday & once again today. The McAfee Security download web link on the MyBell web site has been repaired. It has been refreshed & it is now in working order.

Simply login to your MyBell web account. Select > Internet. Select > Manage my package & features. Scroll down to Features - Security | McAfee Security - Good: $0.00 /mo. Select > Download & follow the onscreen instructions.

as per the recent postings I also attempted the install and am pleased to report that I was able to successfully install McAfee as well.
