Connect with a wired connection from a Windows computer.
Then drop down to a command prompt and type in ipconfig
It should display an IP4 address, Subnet mask and Default gateway for your network adaptor.
The IP4 address should be in the range of 192.168.x.x, so should the default gateway

Connected directly to the Giga hub by wire and I get an IP of 169.254.42.60 which I know that its an address that the device assigns to itself when it can't get a valid IP from the router (I can see the connection in the my devices tab of the giga hub (wired). I've tried rebooting the router, the laptop, using three other laptops and always have the same issue. If I connect wirelessly, I am connected to the router (I can see the connection in the my devices tab of the giga hub (wirelessly) but no internet...

Is the DHCP server turned on in the home hub? Without DHCP, you will not be able to automatically get an IP address on any network device.
Try the Bell virtual repair tool as i can fix many common issues.

Yes DHCP server is turned on the hub since I have nearly 46 other devices connected and working. The virtual repair tool starts and then gives me a 'Internal Server Error' Now even my iMac keeps disconnecting from the wifi and I never had that issue before with my apple clients

Is there anything else connected to the home hub, like another router, managed switch?

I do have a managed switch now connected to it but even when I disconnect it I still have the same issues. Weird that all my fire sticks also work fine to watch the tv with the Bell tv app. You think the managed switch can be causing something with the giga hub. I had the switch removed and plugged the laptops directly wired to the giga hub and they still don`t work...

A managed switch will have a static IP to connect to it, and with a level2/level3 switch it can act as a routing device and provide services like DHCP and VLAN management.
What I suggest is disconnect all devices from the home hub, reboot the home hub, and connect a single wired device directly to one of the LAN ports on the home hub.
If it still does not connect, ipconfig /release and ipconfig/renew should provide a connection, unless you have the TCP/IP connection properties setup to static IP addresses on each computer.

My Dell laptop 3000 series which has Intel AC3610 wifi adapter. I am not able to connect the bell giga hub wifi for some reason. I have much older laptop that is able to find the wifi network. Seems like specific to wifi adapter problem and I am not sure how to fix the issue. The adopter has 802.11.a/b/g... but not 802.11.c. any solution available?

ok so I had one of my buddies that knows more this stuff than I and I think we figured it out... I had a TP-Link range extender in the garage for my charging station and once we removed it it seems to have fixed the problem. I guess the range extender was also giving it IP addresses... I will still closely monitor why it suddenly started happening as everything was working before fine

Thank you for your question. Can you be a little more specific? Have you run the Wi-Fi troubleshooter in your operating system (presuming Windows 10 or 11)? Have you run the Wi-Fi troubleshooter on the MyBell support page from the computer which is able to connect?

I tried all the available tools of bell, online and app troubleshooter. I had a chat session as well and the online customer service agent told that it is not the hub issue. It is the laptop. I believe it us related to some sorts of configuration of giga hub wifi. This laptop is able to identify lots of wifi networks available in the building. I also have dell d630 which is more than 15 years old and uses windows 7 was able to detect the wifi network. Also I guess the hub is not configured for 6ghz and the agent was saying that the laptop should be 6e compliance which is not correct as my 15 or 20 years old laptop is not for sure but able to detect 5ghz wifi network on this hub. So, something is missing and I am searching for an expert opinion to figure out where is the disconnect. Hppe to get some sorts of solutions here.

Thank you for the information. The Intel AC3160 is an 802.11ac wireless radio that is discontinued by Intel. I can't locate an AC3610 on the Intel support database. Is that correct? The specifications for the generic Dell 3000 laptops also say they have a 802.11ac wireless radio. That means they will connect at a maximum connection frequency on 5 Ghz. It is not 6e (802.11ax) compliant. We would need detailed specifications to confirm that, however.
Ability to connect to a wireless network is half of the equation. The ability to log in is the other half. I suggest you remove any previous laptop wireless connections to your Bell modem and start from scratch to reconfigure your wireless connection. Once you have a successful log in, configure your laptop to connect automatically, if you wish. If your older laptop can make a wireless connection, the issue is confined to your more recent laptop.
I also suggest you update the wireless radio drivers to the most current version. Go to the manufacturer's web site, if possible. Also run any Windows upgrades, as well.
If you can plug your laptop into the Giga Hub with a network cable and if it connects, the issue is most likely with the laptop's wireless radio. USB adapters for network cables are readily available if you don't have a network jack on your laptop. You might also wish to have a computer shop verify that your laptop's wireless modem is working properly.

Thanks for your suggestions. All of your suggestions have been tried but no luck yet. Inan thinking of getting q usb wifi adapter which will help I believe to get rid of the cable. My only problem is 6 ghz. Bell agent says 6ghz frequency but I don't see that frequency even having latest laptop and iPhone. I guess the gug hub is not configured for 6ghz or may have been disable. How do I find this?
I have latest laptop and latest mobile devices. I have not seen any of these showing 6ghz frequency connection.
Regarding the laptop, I also think it is the wifi adapter but not sure what is the problem that causing not to detect any of the frequencies from the giga hub. Windows been updated, wifi adapter been removed, reinstalled and updated. I have got the connection from Bell a week ago. I am wondering all the new hub or router should be compatible with all already released hardware. The wifi adopter is the same as it is in the oldest laptop in relation to the frequency it supports. Then why would the inspiron 15, dell 3000 series would not be Ble to detect the wifi connection from the gig hub. I had bell connection in the past but with the same router and no issue, had cogeco as well, no issue. Why this specific router or giga hub will be an issue for the laptop? It seems to me that this hub is not backward compatible, is it so? Like the oldest wifi adopter is also discontinued by Intel. As the new devices are backward compatible, old devices are able to connect new devices. I am not getting the puzzle solved. If you need specific information, let me know and I would love to get at the bottom of this. Thanks!

You won’t see the 6e connection as devices always find the best connection. You may see it if you connect through the Wi-Fi app. Devices always connect to the best signal their algorithm says is best, not what we think is best. I suggest you contact Dell support for more specific assistance.

I have had Bell home wifi since January. I work from home and since yesterday, my computers are not able to connect to the Bell Wifi. I have rebooted yet the problem still persists. What could be the issue?
