I keep getting messages purporting o be from Bell telling me to update something or other or else my email will be cut off. They look convincing but there are so many scams going on that I don't want to open any attachments. What to do?

I am getting a message from Powered by Bell. They tell me: "You are still using the old Email Account security settings.

To avoid service interruptions and delays in outgoing / incoming mails, please use the maintenance portal below to switch and automatically enable your new Bell email account settings." There is a link here and below:

"Failure to comply within 24 hours may result in permanent deactivation.

It sounds very strange... Is it spam?

Thanks

I have a sympatico email and I have been getting HUNDREDS of emails saying my account needs to be upgraded, so I should "click here".  These emails are from accounts that might be Bell Canada, but not sure. Is Bell Canada actually upgrading sympatico and if so, do I need to do something at my end?

I keep getting emails to my sympatico.ca account asking me to follow a link because my mailbox is being moved somewhere. Is this true? Many of the emails come from 'icloud' addresses, so I don't know if they are real. I've been sending most of them to phish@bell.ca, but have so far not received any confirmation as to whether they are real, or phishing attempts. What is happening?

@Received email today saying I am required to download upgrade in order to access email. Is this a legitimate email

I have now received this email twice from what looks like Bell but I'm not convinced it's not spam.  Can anyone confirm?

Keep getting emails from Bell Alliant to update my email account and that I have 5 emails to read. I thought I was Bell and not Alliant. Have treated these emails as spam.

Starting May 28, 2023, Bell email users that are yet to update their account will no longer be able to login due to the recent Bell upgrade. Download and access the attach PDF to login and update your Bell email.
