Evening congestion on Bell Fiber

I have been seeing drastic speed reductions in the evening. It seems to be fairly regular. I am on 3Gb Fiber. Every morning my speed tests show very good speeds (above 3Gb up and down). The same happens midday. However, when the  evening comes, the speed drops dramatically and the latency spikes. Next morning, the speed comes back to normal and the whole cycle repeats Here is just a story of one day:s3.jpg

Is Bell's network so badly congested?

Is the network in my neighbourhood (South Pickering) under provisioned ???

Thanks!

Hi there @ArtP
Thank you for your post.
Have you performed any further speed test's at night that you can share?
Do you happen to have any third party equipment connected such as a router? If so, can you please share a speed test when you are experiencing the issue with it connected and without it connected?
Looking forward to hearing back.

On Dec 6th I got the usual pattern:s3 (1).jpg

Slow down after 8PM; back to normal after 11PM. I do have a router connected, but it has no effect. After all I am running the test on Bell modem, making sure there's no other meaningful traffic. For the record: Yes I did try running the test with nothing but the modem connected and the pattern is the same. Between ~8PM and 11PM my speed drops and latency jumps. Any other time the speed is perfect.

I am using a UDM SE in pppoe mode. It has been working almost flawlessly until about a month ago. Was there a new FW released for the Gigahub?

I am experiencing a very similar issue where at random times it slows down to an absolute crawl. To the point of being unusable. When I login to the gigahub, it takes forever to load, like it is being hammered. Once it loads, sometimes the internet comes back at the same time, other times I have to reboot the Gigahub.

I think our problems are not  quite the same. My slow downs are not random. I can reliably predict them. They always happen in the evening. Never before 6PM, never after midnight. Also, though I see spiking latency and slower throughput, the service is still usable. Files download videos play, VOIP works. As for the firmware, my modem received 2.13 on October. 30th.

2.13 is the most recent firmware for the Giga Hub.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Are you able to share which modem model you have?
Are you able to share a screenshot of a speed test with the normal speeds you receive and one from the evening when you experience the drop?
Looking forward to hearing back.
