Wightman is installing fibre to the hiome in Orangeville, Bell has planned this for years but nothing has come forward. When Bell going to provide this because the prices look good and the currently alternatives do not match as far as speed or reliablity.

Greetings:
Relevant info: I live in Muskoka - Kilworthy, just south of Gravenhurst
Last fall, Bell ran fibre optic cable between hydro poles in my neighbourhood. Now, very recently, Bell has hung, from the hydro pole lines, loops of fibre optic cable at individual residential locations (to accommodate residential hookups). Wondering when Bell plans to activate, and make available fibre optic service in this neighbourhood?
Thanks.

Good Day.
Thank you for reaching out to the community. We are not privy to Bell's fibre design, engineering, placement & activation scheduling. I can only provide you with the best available information at our disposal. Based on the activity you mentioned, you are much closer to knowing the expected completion date than we are.
Bell is not going to leave this capital investment sitting there for any extended period of time. Bell has invested a lot of money in converting your neighbourhood from copper to fibre.
Bell will be reaching out to.... not exactly sure on the precise date. They most definitely want your business!
All I can at this time is: "Stay tuned!" It is what it is & that is the best answer I can give you.
Have a wonderful day.
Take care.

The digital age demands fast, reliable, and expansive internet coverage to ensure that everyone can access the limitless opportunities it offers. Hamilton, ON, a thriving and rapidly growing community, deserves nothing less than the best internet infrastructure available today—pure fibre optic internet. Despite the city's growth and development, many residents and local businesses still lack access to this essential modern utility.
Pure fibre optic internet provides unparalleled download and upload speeds, transforming how we work, learn, and connect. With the ongoing technological advancements and innovations, Hamilton cannot afford to lag in the digital connectivity race. The absence of comprehensive fibre optic coverage impacts the residents' daily lives, affecting everything from remote work capability, educational progress, to business competitiveness.
Bell Canada , a leading telecommunications company, has the expertise and resources needed to ensure that Hamilton finally receives the internet infrastructure it needs. Their investment in expanding pure fibre optic access across all areas of Hamilton would significantly enhance the city's economic potential, improve digital education, and ultimately improve the quality of life for every resident.
It's time for bell Canada to prioritize Hamilton on their expansion agenda. By doing so, the company would be contributing to the community's growth and showcasing corporate responsibility and commitment to Canadian cities.
urge bell Canada to act promptly by prioritizing the installation and access to pure fibre optic internet across Hamilton, ensuring the city remains at the forefront in our digital era.

My neighborhood still do not have Fibre internet service, I am stuck with 100Mbps speed while Rogers is offering 2Gbps
As the topic says, should I switch to Rogers instead of keep waiting for Bell to upgrade my neighborhood?
