HomeHub 4000 Folders are in French instead of English?

Hi All,

I have Bell Fibe Internet with the HomeHub 4000 Modem/Router. I've noticed that when I click the Home Hub 4000

link that you can see in the screenshot below that it then shows the following folders. But for some reason they are in French rather than English as can be seen in the second screenshot. I'm wondering if anyone know a fix for this so that they are in English?

Hi there @dwbrown55. Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Bell Community 🙂

It would appear based upon your screen shots that those folders are from one of the external hard drives you have connected.

Check that the language setting on the hard drive you've plugged and make sure it is set to English.

Hi Patricia,

Those folder do not exist on the Hard Drive when connected directly to a PC. Those only show when I browse a HDD connected to the HomeHub 4000. Also for the folders that do actually exist on the HDD they are all in English when connected directly to a PC.

It seems to me that the Home Hub 4000 tries to read the content on the HDD and auto sort them into various types of media folders when browsing through that Home Hub 4000 icon in the first screenshot. But in doing so displays the folders in French for some reason. I just can't figure out why? The Home Hub 4000 itself is in English when I browse the router config page at 192.168.2.1.

Hi,

I have encountered the following problem. When I login to the modem everything is fine with all pages in English as far as I have seen so far.

However when I acces an external drive connected to the usb port all folder names are in French?

How can I fix this?

I noticed at least one other similar concern in this forum responded to by BellPatricia.

Bell just installed a Bell Modem 3000 and the folder names are all showing in French as well. When is Bell scheduled to fix this issue?

Hi. I just upgraded from a Home Hub 300 to a Giga Hub. Same issue. All of my DNLA main folder descriptions are now in French instead of English. The modem itself is set to English, though. Any updates on when this will get fixed?

I just found this after having my new 4000 installed (and the hell getting the fiber fully run to the house) and it's at Giga Hub 4000 Firmware Update 1.16.3 and yet this still hasn't been fixed! What gives? Are you guys asleep at the wheel?

Hi,

My folders are still in French.  Has a fix been rolled out?

I have the same issue. The USB directory is sorted by the software in the modem, these are in French even though I have the app set to English. These are not folders on the actual,USB drive, these are in English.

This needs to be fixed, the browsing is not simple to do this way.

So, Bell, this was reported to you 1.5y ago and you still say:"fix is in the way"...

This should be a very simple fix, and I say that as a very experienced software expert. It's not the folders on the drive, it's not the browsing application, it's your OS that creates these virtual folders on French.

What are you doing over there? Would you please, finally, fix this minor but extremely annoying bug already?

Thank you!

Seems to be taking a while. I also would like to be informed of this fix.

Still not fix yet??  Why the delay on this fix?
