New emails go into inbox and sent folder

My new email goes into inbox and sent folder?????

Would likely help to know what e-mail client, and if you are copying yourself on the e-mail or not.

My problem for weeks is that when I write and send an email I get a message "unexpected error has occurred "  and it goes into Draft? When I receive an email it goes into Inbox and Sent folder????
