PS5 Lagging after new vip7802 install

About a month ago we upgraded to the vip7802 tv boxes and now my ping when gaming is all over the place. The ps5 is wired and still going all over.

I have unplugged the tv boxes and blocked all network access except for the ps5 and minimal improvement. Restarted both HH4000 and the PS5 and nothing changes. Anyone have any ideas?

Which modem are you using? Are you able to share pictures / screenshots of a speed test for both the modem and the PS5?

Have you tried our Virtual Repair tool?  It is great for remotely detecting and resolving issues.

I’m using HH4000

PS5 is usually 500-700Mbps. It is a wired connection under 10ft. 

I had no issue until the new vip7802 boxes were changed for the old tv boxes. I’m told I can’t downgrade back to the old ones.

Upgrading to a new TV receiver should not have any impact on your Internet.

Which game are you playing? Can you share your traceroute results (with date/timestamp)? 

Do you notice this at a certain time of day (afternoon/evening), or is it all of the time?

I play mostly NHL and the odd Call of Duty. 

It’s all the time. The only thing that has changed since the issue has been the new tv boxes. The first tech apparently didn’t install them correctly and then the second tech confirmed that and had fixed the problem and now I have these lag spikes.
