I’ve currently upgraded from HH4000 1Gb to Gigahub 3gb and my wifi speeds are terrible.

I’ve already turned off wifi optimization and Wifi 6, along with different SSID names. Currently on firmware 1.14.1

how can I get the new 1.15x firmware @BellPatricia

Hi there @dash
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Are you able to share which modem model you have?
Can you perform a speed test result directly through the modem GUI and share a screenshot of the results?
Are you using any third party equipment such as a router and if so, have you tried disconnecting it from your setup to see if the issue persists?
Are you using an VPN service and have you tried disabling it to see if the issue persists?
Looking forward to hearing back.

Hi, recently my plan got upgraded to 3Gbps. When I checked my internet speed in my phone or laptop it shows only around 300Mbps. I got a bell technician stop by and he replaced the modem. He said the modem is capable of delivering 3Gbps speed but the phone or laptop are not capable to test this speed. Is it true? Can’t I check 3Gbps speed ?

Good Day @DsIndiran

How are you testing your device & modem speed? To accurately test your phone's internet speed, use a dedicated speed test app or website, like Speedtest by Ookla. Ensure you're connected to the network you want to test, and ideally, run the test when the network isn't heavily used.

Keep in mind, you are testing the device & computer speed only. 300 Mbps sounds about right for a Wi-Fi wireless device such as an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S24. I cannot comment on your laptop. This reading could be correct as well. What speed is your laptop capable of? How is it connected? Wired or wireless?

Bell Internet Speed Test | Measure the performance of your Bell Internet speeds

To accurately measure your overall Gigabit Fibe 3.0 Gbps speed, you can do so by logging in to your modem and select Speed Test. This will measure the maximum upload & download speed to your Bell Giga Hub. If you have a Giga Hub or a Home Hub 4000, you can also run the speed test directly from the modem.

Further Speed Test instructions are included in this web link:

Manage your modem’s settings in the interface of the Home Hub 3000 and 4000, and the Giga Hub

Take care.

Follow these instructions on how to perform a speed test from within the modem menu. That test should show you the speed of the plan you are subscribed on.

As for speed tests from Wireless devices, you will not be able to achieve 3 Gbps speeds.
