Unable to open PDF in webmail - Error The file might be password protected/corrupted

For some reason I am now unable to open a pdf file. I can forward the same file to my gmail account and it opens. The files are created by me and they are not corrupted or password protected. This started a couple of days ago. It worked in the morning, and then it didn’t.

I am still not able to preview attachments in Bell webmail, not yet resolved for me.

This appears to be a bug in the Bell PDF previewer. It is very easily reproduced. A PDF file can be downloaded and read using the Bell.net email interface.

Hi everyone 🙂

We've confirmed that opening and/or previewing PDF in Bell webmail is now working as expected.

Let me know if you are still having any trouble.

@BellPatricia

I confirm the issue is now resolved for me, I can once again preview files attached to emails in Bell webmail.

Hello,

I can not open or download any email attachments when they arrive via web browser (tried Edge and Firefox). I also get an error message when I attempt to forward the received email with attachments. The solution I found is to forward the message from iPhone email app. After the forwarding is completed, I can open the attachments. This is quite inconvenient.

Hey @Nakhshon

Welcome to the Bell Community 🙂

Have you tested in Chrome as well to see if you are able to open the attachment? Does this affect all emails you receive that have an attachment included, or a certain one?

Can you share the error message you get when you try to open the attachment, as well as when you try to forward the email?

@BellPatricia

Hello,

I have not tested Chrome and this issue affected all attachments from different parties. I don't have a screenshot but the message is "An unexpected error occurred".

Thank you!
