Resolved! Bypass the Bell equipment, or put the modem in bridge-mode?

I'm getting Bell Fibre (1.5Gbps) installed next week and I wanted to see if there's any possibility of bypassing the Bell equipment, or at the very least put the modem in bridge-mode?  I called Tech Support and they didn't seem to know what I was ask...
