daily limit for sending emails

Hello,
I used to be able to send as many emails as I wanted, now I seem to be limited!

I am sending out a lot of invitations, and I am getting the error message "too many emails".
I have recently upgraded my computer, but I'm still using Bell Sympatico. This is beyond frustrating and wasting my whole day. 😞
What has changed that I am now limited after so many years?
Thanks so much for any help at all.

So appreciated,
Janis

Hey there @TheBooks,

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community. And, thanks for tagging me @WelshTerrier 🙂

Our system will allow you to send emails to a maximum of 200 recipients per hour per account
If you continue to get that message after an hour has passed, try deleting all the e-mails in the Outbox. Once all the emails are deleted in the Outbox, attempt to send a test email to yourself then check your inbox and verify if you receive the test email.

Good Day.

Nothing has changed. What volume of emails are you talking about? Size? How are you accessing your email account? You mentioned that you upgraded your computer? Are you using an email client such a Outlook? Email application? When you set up your new computer, which server settings did you use? IMAP or POP3? Are you leaving your emails on the server or removing them & storing them on your computer?

Bell Mail includes email storage that automatically increases as you need more space.

However, if your inbox suddenly increases in size dramatically, you may get an email asking you to move emails to your computer or to delete some old messages.

Here are some suggestions to help you manage the size of your email account.

If you use email software:

  • Retrieve your email regularly.
  • Save your email messages and attachments to your hard drive.

If you use Bell Mail online:

  • Save attachments to your hard drive and then delete them from your inbox.
  • Empty your Junk and Deleted message folders. To do this, click the folder you want to empty. On the toolbar, click Empty.

Using Bell email : Bell email features

Take care.

Hi @WelshTerrier,
Thanks for your reply.

The emails themselves are not very big, under 1MB. They vary in the number of email addresses in each one sent-some have 90 and some have 200. This has never been a problem before.

I am now accessing my Sympatico server via Microsoft 365 as I could no longer send/receive with Sympatico before my  upgrade. Server settings are IMAP/SMTP and come to @Sympatico. Emails are linked so when I delete on my computer (which I do regularly) they delete on Bell's server. There has been no sudden increase, I have been doing this for years. (actually, before, I never even removed them from the server!)

I can send two group emails and then the next one won't go through. I can try an hour later and that often works. But, it shouldn't take me a whole day of trying to send to email groups that I have been regularly sending to in the past. Also, a gazillion are being returned! And these are current, good email addresses.
I love Bell and don't want to change. But this is impossible, as you can imagine. Your help with this would be amazing. Thanks so much!
Janis

Good Day @TheBooks

Thank you for your quick reply. You are certainly maximizing the use of your residential Bell email account. Which Fibe Internet package do you subscribe?

This is a community forum, a peer-to-peer web site. As such, I do not have access to your Internet & email account details & usage. I am going to forward this on to one of the Bell Community moderators for their review.

Take care.
