Do you know how I can get around the fact that Bell Header only allows me to block 250 email addresses? I am swamped with some spam etc and once I reached 250 addresses I received a message that I can't block more than 250 addresses.
I tried deleting some of the entries in my Blocked Senders list but it appears that this may actually take those addresses off my list and allow them to email me again.

I can only offer up the following suggestions to you. These are not solutions. These are only ideas in the hope of prevention.
- There is no getting around the 250 email address limitation. Whatever number it is set at, is not going to reduce your spam.
- Are you blocking individual addresses plus domains or just individual addresses?
- If you are blocking individual addresses, you can start by analyzing them to see if there are any common domains amongst them. If there are email addresses with a common domain, delete all of these individual addresses & then block the domain. For example: You can block an email address (e.g. name@example.com) or a domain (e.g. example.com).
- Bell no longer offers up email addresses. If this was not the case, then I would of suggested to you to change your Bell email address to something else. That is no longer an option.
- You should check your Bell Web Mail security settings & set them accordingly for Spam & Virus's
- What are you doing with your Junk mail when you receive it? Spam?
- I would also suggest that you have a look at & adjust your Privacy settings in your browser.
- Does your computer have up to date Virus & Threat protection?
- I can also recommend that you do not sign up or reply to unknown recipients. Once your email address has been compromised, it is almost next to impossible to stop Spam. Do not add yourself to email distribution lists. Once on a list, you might just find that you have been added to another spam list.
- You can look in to changing your email address by obtaining a free email from any number of suppliers. Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Mail.com, etc.
- Canadians are encouraged to continue to report spam and suspicious practices to spam@fightspam.gc.ca or by using the SRC's online form.
This is a rather long list & I am quite sure that it can be added on to with further ideas & suggestions. There is no easy quick fix. I wish there was.
Hopefully some of these items will be of benefit to you.
Good Luck with the Spam fight. We are in it together.
Take care. Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community Forum.
