email name: How to show my name instead of user name

Hello everyone, can some one explain how to show my name when you receive an email from me, instead of my user name?, normally should be in settings, but I cannot find it ... thank you.

What type of Email are you using? gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc..  details are needed for the community to help you.

Sorry, I should be more clear ... I am using bell.net, and when using the phone app, the email does not show my name when someone receives the email, but my user name ... I cannot see the settings to change that in the phone app, thank you.

The settings on the web Bell email, does not show how to change what others see in the email received, it means, people do not know who sent the email, they just see my user name as a sender ... thank you.

Hey AC,

Because you are using the phone app to send your emails, you have to change your name in the phone setting.

If your name is empty in the phone app mail setting, the receiver will see your username.

I’m not sure what phone you are using but if it’s an iPhone, than go to

settings > Mail > Accounts > select you bell.net account > click “Account” > and in there you will see a “Name” section you can fill out.

Whatever you enter in the “Name” section is what the receiver of your email will see as your name.
