Troubleshooting Slow or Lost Data Connection
We’ve all had this happen before: you’ve lost your data connection or data speeds are slow. Not to worry. Here are a few quick troubleshooting steps to run through.
Initial Troubleshooting Steps
- Restart Your Phone: It sounds simple, but sometimes turning your phone off and on is all you need for a fresh connection to the network.
- Update Your OS: Make sure your phone is on the most up-to-date operating system.
Check Your Phone Settings
Verify these basic settings on your device:
- Turn airplane mode on and then off.
- Turn Wi-Fi off to ensure you're testing the mobile network.
- Make sure mobile data connectivity is enabled.
- Check that your network mode is set to automatic.
- Confirm you have network coverage in your current location.
- Ensure you haven’t used all of your monthly data or exceeded your maximum speed data limit.
