Hi Bell community,

Have you tried to check voicemail for your mobile number but forgot the password? We’ve all been there.

You can reset your passwordOpens in a new tab or windowquickly in MyBell. Just know that you’ll lose any messages in your mailbox. That also happens if you phone customer service to reset your password (and unfortunately there’s a charge for calling us to reset it).

Haven’t set up a voicemail password yet? You’ll only be able to hear your voicemails on your mobile. The password lets you check your messages from a landline or other phone – but we think it’s a good idea to use a password to access voicemail on your mobile phone too, to help keep your messages private.

To create or change your voicemail password:

  1. Press and hold the 1 on your mobile phone number pad.
  2. Enter your password (if you’ve already set one up).
  3. Press 4 for Personal options.
  4. Press 2 for Administrative options.
  5. Press 1 to Establish or change your password.
  6. Press 1 to Change your password.
  7. Enter a new password. It should be four to 10 digits long, and cannot begin with zero.

To turn off the password on your mobile phone only, follow the same steps above but listen for the option to turn off your password at step 5. Just remember, to call in from another phone you’ll still need a password.

Don’t want to dial in to get your voicemails? No problem.
