Brand new watch constantly dies

I just received a brand new watch a week ago and have been needing to charge it twice a day most days. I wear it to bed to track sleep also. Is there anything I can do to make the battery last longer or is the battery maybe faulty? Any advice is appreciated

Thank you for your concern. You do not say what make of watch you have. I encourage you to visit the watch  manufacturer's support web site and look for information on how to maximize battery life.

Have you checked your battery & application usage on your device? To view your usage, go to Settings > Battery.

Within this screen area, you should be able to view the battery level by hour, your corresponding activities for the same period of time & view application usage. This in itself will tell you how well you are managing your battery usage.

Understanding battery behavior, proper charging practices, and optimizing device usage are essential for maintaining battery health. how much battery health drains really depend on how you are using your watch.

Please have a look at the following. It may provide you some further insight & help in terms of improving your device battery performance.

Here are some key areas to focus your attention on that may improve your battery life.

  1. Screen time & brightness.
  2. Wi-Fi vs. Cellular. E.g. Updates, App refresh, etc.
  3. Mail delivery.
  4. Location services settings
  5. App notifications.
  6. Home & Lock screen - Wake
  7. Battery recharging level.
