My BELL cellphone won't send or receive text messages to/from Telus customers.
My best friend just changed her phone from Rogers to Telus - same phone number, just a different carrier. I can no longer text her. I mean, I can text, but it's not received at her end. She tried sending me messages, and they don't come through to my phone. We've screen grabbed conversations that aren't being received at either end. And this isn't the first time I've run into this issue. Why doesn't my phone want to communicate with Telus customers? I've searched high and low for an answer. I need to get this resolved. PLEASE HELP!! We both have checked our "blocked" contacts and that isn't the issue. So why??? We should be able to text back and forth. For now, we're just utilizing social media platforms as a way around this, but it's not ideal. Please help me fix this!!! HELP!!!!

Thank you for your question. The situation you describe can occur from an incomplete number port, in this case, your friend. They will need to resolve this with Telus and Rogers. In the meantime, @BellNick's suggestions are worth following up on your end.

Recently changed phone number from Telus to Bell but will not allow Telus customers to phone the number on Bell phone. Anybody have any suggestions why this would be happening. Telus customers can still text the number.

Not sure why my new question was tagged to the one from 2023. I am the one requiring an answer to my question from my newly activated bell phone and porting the number from telus. Moved 3 phone numbers to bell from telus but there was only issues with one.
