Good Day.

Best answer I can give you is an absolute No..... Bell is not calling customers to tell them to replace SIM.

Why are you asking? Did you receive such a call? Details?

Why would Bell be calling all of their customers to change their SIM card? Did someone call you offering a deal, promotion, etc.?

If you have a defective SIM, you may contact Bell to obtain a replacement. They are not calling you.... you would need to call Bell!

Please have a view of the following:

Service provider impersonation scam

Take care.

Today I had a call from someone claiming to be from Bell who advised me that Bell required me to change my SIM card as mine was no longer compatible. Several red flags went up:

1. She called twice from 2 different numbers/area codes with no name display on either.
2.  She wanted me to give her my email so she could send a confirmation, I refused. I told her to give me the one on file and I’d confirm it. She wouldn’t and told me that only bell could email me.

3. She will be sending me something by regular mail since I wouldn’t give my email.

4. I told her I couldn’t be sure she was from Bell so I don’t trust her.
5. I’ve received no e-mails, texts or other communication from Bell about this. I’m used to a text heads up for important things.
It may be legit but was too many red flags for me.
