Issues Roaming in the USA

Hi everyone.

Any ideas why my cellular data isn’t working in particular USA state? When I travel to IL my data stops working. I have had a temporary fix by switching from ATT roaming to Tmobil. But now it seems that I cant use my data despite I switch to any other US operator. Have tried everything. Reset my network settings, turn off my phone, remove sim.

There is no problems in any other state or province. Only Illinois

I have roam better. Arrived in the USA from Canada yesterday. I have no data except in wifi. My iPhone will not let me turn on data roaming.

I am currently travelling in the USA and I can't get any carrier on my iphone 15.  My phone is stuck in SOS mode.  This phone is only 2 weeks old.  My previous iphones automatically picked up a carrier once I left Canada and entered the USA.  I even went to an Apple dealer in the US and they couldn't fix it.  Any help would be appreciated.

My network not working my call and internet not working I am stuck in road in USA please help me

Without more information it is hard to diagnose your problem. If you are in an emergency situation, call 911. If you are able to post here, your internet appears to be working.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Communiy Firum.

As you are traveling and are outside of Canada, we can't guarantee service in all locations. Have you tried to connect manually & select the local networks where you're located? Depending on where you are at & where you are going, & the local network traffic, you may need to repeat this step several times until you capture a working network.

iOS / iPhone:

  1. From your Home screen, tap Settings
  2. Tap Cellular
  3. Tap Cellular Network or Network Selection
  4. Tap the Automatic switch to turn off
  5. Once available, networks will appear. At this point, you may select your desired local carrier.

Android / Samsung:

  1. From your Home screen, swipe down and tap the Settings icon in the top right
  2. Tap Connections
  3. Tap Mobile networks
  4. Tap the switch to turn Select automatically off
  5. Once available, networks will appear. At this point, you may select your desired local carrier.

Let us know if everything works out for you & you can connect to a network.

Take care & thank you for posting your question.

We have a Canada/US plan and we're traveling in the United States. We have been unable to make calls or use data, traveling in Michigan. Sometimes shows 5G but no access.

Hello,

We have three lines with North America plan on our Account and these users are complaining a lot saying they cannot call or receive call too often. They have to switch networks manually (T-Mobile works better than the others).

Is this really a norm for the roaming in USA to have a very service and connectivity?

Thanks for your feedback and experience.

Hello,

I'm new to Bell and just choose the US Canada Plan for me and my husband. My husband is in US now but I cannot call his Canada number. Every time I call him it just directly goes to voicemail. when he tries to call home, the call just ends and I even don't hear phone ringing. Text message is working well. Any suggestions to fix this? Thanks.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum

You mentioned: "I'm new to Bell and just choose the US Canada Plan for me and my husband. My husband is in US now but I cannot call his Canada number." Can you please elaborate? You changed plans at this very moment or prior to his departure & arrival in the U.S. or at an earlier date?

If either of your phones is off, on Airplane or Flight mode, Do Not Disturb mode, or when you're outside of coverage (i.e. no service); calls will automatically be forwarded to voicemail.

Is your device up to date in terms of iOS / OS? Are all of your apps current?

Have you rebooted your device by completing a full power off recently?

  1. Have either of you changed your Caller ID settings on your phones? Show My Caller ID: On or Off
  2. Check your mobile device settings. Phone > Silence unknown callers > Is this option on or off?
  3. Call Blocking & Identification?
  4. Blocked contacts?
  5. Have you checked your Focus settings? E.g. Do Not Disturb Feature, etc.
  6. Are each of you in the others contact list?
  7. Have you contacted Bell Mobility Customer Service tech support for assistance? Call: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.

If you require any further assistance, please do no hesitate to reach out once again.

Take care.

I recently traveled to USA but was unable to make phone calls at all. Any number I was trying to dial ended up being disconnected right away. I have a CAN/USA/MEX plan which should allow me to call and use data with 3 countries. My data connection worked fine with no issue. Has anyone experienced similar issues?
