SMS delays / duplicates

Yesterday morning my messages were fine - sent quickly and properly. Then half way through the day it changes - SMS messages specifically (MMS texts didn't seem to have this problem) - it would take a long time to send, and the recipient would receive it 3-4 times. I did a full factory reset on my phone but it didn't help at all.

We wanted to check in and see if you were still having issues with your SMS messages being delayed. If so, could you review the earlier questions asked by myself and @BellAntgio and provide further details at your earliest convenience? Thanks for the follow-up.  It appears this was a one of occurrence, the only problem I have had is incoming calls dropping mid-conversation. Because of the poor signal in my home I am using Wi-fi calling and assume the issue is caused by the switching from Mobile tower to wi-fi because of the dead zone .  Annoying but livable.
