Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

That is a very good question. In order for you to share data with your husband & vice versa, both of you must have a shareable plan & be a part of the same shareable group.

Shareable plans allow family members to allocate voice and data between their devices. You need two shareable mobile plans. One for each of you. These can be set up with shareable data under one MyBell - One bill account.

Please check out the following web link for further details:

Thanks for posting your question.

Take care.

My husband and I have cell phones with a "shared data plan"  apparently I don't understand what that means as I rarely use any data - most months it is only 1% of the available, and yet they have charged me $15.00 for overage data usage on my husband's phone.  Don't we share the pool of data and either phone can use it?

I just switched to a sharable plan and I don't have the option to add the other cell phone on my account, the one for my spouse. How can I add it ?

Hello I am new to bell I got an account for me and my wife. If I switch to a shareable data plan does that plan cover both lines or do we both need a shareable plan??

Hi, if I change my plan to a shared plan and add my husband's number to the group what happens to his current plan? Currently I have a non shareable plan (tel number 1234) and he has a no data plan (tel. number 5678)

Share plans

He will become part of the shareable group. You will need to change his plan to a shareable plan when added to your shareable group.

Here is link to explain everything you need to know about shared plans:

Have shareable data would like to share to phone on same plan

I recently got a special offer for “100GB share essential” I was just wondering if I have to share the 100GB with other family members or if I can use all 100GB on just my phone?

If you are the only member of the share group, then it is all yours to use as you choose. If another member of the family is added to the share group, they would also need to have a shared plan and the data would then be shared.

I want to add my own device to my share group. I have the shareable plan already, but want to add another device. When I click on "bring my own phone" in share group. It says unable to add a device online and says to go in store. Do I really need to go instore or I can do it online?

I am looking into a shared data plan for 2 phones I have.

Q1? do both phones have to have their own "shared data" plans in order to be in the same shared data group?

Q2? do all my phones HAVE TO be in the same plan? Can I have 1 on a 155GB shared data plan and the 2nd on a 40GB plan? Would the 2nd phone be limited to 40GB of monthly data?

Q3? Can I have each phone on its own plan with its own data (not shared)? What would be the benefits of this?

How do I get shareable data on my tablet , I want to accept date from my phone but not just hotspot, like when I  am away from home too

If you have an Unlimited shareable Smartphone plan, you can add a compatible Bell Tablet to your existing shareable plan. You would need to contact Bell Mobility on line or visit a Bell store to add an Unlimited shareable tablet to your existing plan.

Here is link to Bell's Tablet plans.  Bell Mobility also has a link on this page referencing compatible Bell Tablets.
