Transfer to eSIMs internationally

I am in Scotland. My plan says transfer to eSims. How much does it cost? Has anyone done this before?
I am away for almost a month. Going to Portugal also. Thought this would be easier than buying a eSIMs .

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

You can transfer your SIM to an eSim or viceversa by logging in to your MYBell account with any web browser. There is no charge for you to do this online. There is a charge if you contact Bell & wish for them to do this for you.

My plan includes data & voice anywhere in North America.  which also has Roam Better activated.   When traveling outside of North America, typically any country with Europe, I would like to utilize an eSIM (Saily) for data and do not want to use my phone for normal calls/texts unless for emergency purposes. How do I set this up so that Roam Better/extra charges do(es) not kick in when I have the eSIM activated, all I want my phone to do is access the eSIM data plan when traveling here.  Do I need to deactivate the physical SIM or Roam Better?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Roaming is activated once your SIM card connects to a network outside of Canada. Therefore, if you remove your SIM card prior to arriving in the country and connecting to their network, roaming will not be activated.

If you turn your device on for any reason with your SIM in place, you will incur additional charges.

Unbeknown to you, keeping your device data turned on may also trigger roaming usage, as most applications on your device refresh content in the background, resulting in data usage & roaming charges. Powering your device on & activating an eSim or dual SIM for travel SIM outside of Canada will also trigger data usage & roaming charges. To avoid a roaming charge, remove your Bell SIM beforehand.

You really only have two choices. You can choose to remove your Bell SIM or powering your device completely off. Just do not power your device on before removing your Bell SIM.
