Very Poor cell reception in Beamsville

What is being done to improve the notoriously poor cell service for those living and working in south Beamsville ON area?  Our phones get 2 bars of signal...outdoors...and calls consistently breakup or drop.  Any efforts to make repairs @Bell?

Hey there @Frustratedinbeamsville

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.

As the Community is a peer to peer assistance channel, we wouldn't have that information available.

Many factors can limit signal strength; topography, environmental conditions, line of sight to towers, types of buildings in your area, etc.

  • Have you tried changing the network settings in your phone?
  • Have you tried using Wi-Fi calling where available?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
  • Have you got in touch with our technical support team to open a ticket?

Same issue for both myself and my wife... Might need to switch carriers since we don't have a home phone.

Here's the thing, I too have poor cell reception but not in Beamsville, I'm just outside of Tweed Ontario. It's frustrating to call in to Bell on said cell from spot I'm having poor reception in but the wait times on phone are so long, calls drop while we wait, while we speak when we finally get a live person and on and on. I'm sure @Frustratedinbeamsville would agree.

I will join in the sting as well... I like in Pelham, ON and have the same issue. My wife and I both experience dropped calls and fading and we can't even call each other from our property. I think Bell needs to address this because there have been alot of complaints made to our Municipal Office about it, as many are migtraing to cell phones as their primary communication line. If it continues to fail, it's very bad for business - both mine and Bell's and how do you reach 911? Not a good situation!

Why are my calls cutting out so much … much more than usual… my husband’s phone is doing the same and so is my neighbour!

Does anyone on here get feedback from Bell? Is this just a place to moan about our poor cell service  ? As I type this from inside my home THIS is what my phone looks like (see photo) if I step outside and try and call with ONE bar signal and you MIGHT be able to speak robot if you’re speaking to anyone. What the heck.

Hi there, @PGK, @Anna23, and @HeatherCardle63.

Looking forward to hearing back from all of you.

Hello,

We have found that the cell service in the Manotick area is less than desirable with constant dropped calls. Is there any way to review the coverage in this area (Rideau Valley Drive and Century Road) to see if improvements can be made. We don't want to leave Bell but the coverage in this 1000 home community is just deplorable.

Thank you in advance
