Why can't I block my Data based on usage instead of time?

I can not afford to go over my allotted DATA usage. In myBell account I can block DATA based on my bedtime, any time related schedule really, but I can not set my DATA to be turned off automatically based on usage i.e. when I run out, to PREVENT me from going over. It seems to me that Bell is WILLING to let its customers harm themselves financially so that Bell can benefit financially. Pretty unethical considering a toggle option for DATA usage - in the DATA management area - is an extremely simple addition.

I am not quite sure what data you use wish to block?  Are you talk mobility data or Wi-Fi data? There are any number of ways to block data.

if you wish to turn off Wi-Fi usage across all of your devices you can do this by logging in to your modem & turning off Wi-Fi in Managing my Wi-Fi. You can also view Device usage in My Usage.

If you wish to restrict or completely block usage on a per device completely or for a specific time basis, you can do this from the Wi-Fi app. Just login, select the device & choose your preferred settings.

If want to just stop using cellular data, you can turn off cell data completely in system settings or if you are only wanting to turn off Wi-Fi data usage on your mobile device, it can be blocked by one my earlier suggestions from your modem, the Wi-Fi app or turning off your Wi-Fi completely in your mobile cellular settings.

I am sorry, there is no automatic data usage off switch. As i said in my earlier note:

Bell also sends a variety of text message notifications when you reach certain thresholds of data usage and data usage charges.

For example, notifications are sent when you reach 95% of the monthly data usage included in your plan & less than 100MB is available (until your next bill date). Text notifications are also sent when you reach $50 etc. in additional data usage charges.

I have included the following link to assist you with data usage thresholds and text message notifications.

I have as mobile plan that includes 1Gb of DATA, I want my DATA to automatically turn off when 1Gb is used. Scheduling certain times for DATA to be on or off is irrelevant to the issue, Bell customers deserve the right to not harm themselves with Bell services, and Bell should provide the option to have DATA turn off instead of incurring overage fees.

right, that is my point, I left my DATA on without using it for a month, by the time I learned that apps are using it in the background all the time, and then how to turn it off, I had incurred $15.00 in charges. It is unethical for Bell to profit from this. It SHOULD be an option to end DATA availability after limit reached. Currently, I can not enjoy my services because I can not afford to accidentally leave DATA on. I guess I have to shop around. I think Chatr will stop its customers from going over.

Bell's billing practices are all about profit. I am looking for the same feature as @RyGuy1 , but it's nowhere to be found. I used 0.18GB over my limit and Bell charged be $20. I'm so mad... Bell you need the option "DISABLE DATA USAGE WHEN LIMIT IS REACHED".
