What is this?
I got an email on Feb 6th saying my bills due.
The invoice says it's due by Feb16?
10 days to pay my bill? Now I'm late. Hope I don't get charged interest.
What the heck? Aren't most bills due like 30 days after you receive them? Very silly you send an invoice and want the money in 10 days.
Please fix.

Never noticed this before. Always note when bills are due and usually make payment before due date. This payment date on my bill was to be paid by Nov.4. When I went online to pay on Nov.4th it said payment was due Nov.3rd on the payment screen and it was overdue? I would believe you have until midnight on the 4th to make a payment not a day previous.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately your bill was overdue when you paid it. With any bill there is always a lag time for payments to be processed. In the case of paying through online banking, it can be several days before your payment is received. Thinking of my own Bell bill, I try to pay it not less than three days before Bell says it is due. I know in these tough times that can be a challenge, but planning always helps. Bell may charge you a small amount of interest, as well.

Good Day.
Bell must receive your processed payment within 30 days after your due date. How you pay it & & when you pay it are fators that you must consider when paying your bill!
Your account is overdue if your bill payment has not been received & credited to your account within 30 days after the billing date on your bill.
Bell must receive your processed payment within 30 days after your due date. How you pay it & & when you pay it are factors that you must consider when paying your bill!
This is you due date.
Bell issues your bill each & every month with the same billing date. This date does not change from month to month. If you log into MyBell and check your billing history, you will notice that the billing date is the same each & every month. Your bill is always due 30 days after this date!
Your account is credited when Bell receives the funds from your financial institution. This timeline can vary from 1 - 18 days. The chart I have included in this reply is only a reference point for you to use. It is intended to allow you sufficient time to pay your bill by the due date.
How long does it take for my Bell payment to be processed?
Hopefully this has been of assistance in answering your question.
Take care.

I disagree. It technically was not overdue. There is no lag time when paying online with credit card.

Good Day.
"There is no lag time when paying online with credit card." I will leave that up to you & your financial institution and / or credit card company to discuss.
Bell processes all payments upon receipt.
Technically speaking, your account is not overdue if Bell receives your bill payment from your financial institution or credit card company within 30 days after the billing date on your bill.
How you pay your bill and when you pay it, are within your circle of influence. The chart I included in my earlier reply is only a reference point for you to use. It is intended to allow you sufficient time to pay your bill by the due date.
Take care.

Thank you for your question. You due date is individual to you. Check your previous bill on the MyBell web page or all to see your due date for last month. Please allow several days for payment to be processed, as well.

If my bill is due on the 20th and I check on the 19th in my bell app...my account says that my bill is overdue and I should pay immediately. Why?

I can’t comment on specific billing maters other than to suggest that given billing payment lag times of 3-5 days, your account will be overdue even if you were to pay it immediately.

If Bell doesn’t receive payment for your bill within 30 days of the bill date, you will be charged late payment fees as follows:
- 3% monthly (42.58% per annum)
This information is taken directly from the Bell Canada website. The 10 day grace period is simply a suggested timeframe, and the 10 day. Is used for any automatic payments

Welsh terrier, your information is mostly correct. For payments we initiate, we have 30 days
For payments initiated through an automatic payment system, the grace period is 10 days

I received notification via email on Dec 12 that my e-Bill is ready. Today, Dec 16, I received an email that Bell has not received my payment yet and late payment charge will be added if not paid by Dec 29. This is the first time I have received a reminder email. So you expect payment immediately now? I have never been late with a payment. I do not need reminding.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

There is no need for you to reply to this notification. This could also be a fraudster trying to access your account to scam you.
There are numerous fraud scams targeting customers using phone calls, emails, text or social media messages. This could be a new variation of phishing scam.
Please login to your MyBell account and verify that your e-bill is not overdue. Your Bell bill is due 30 days after your specific monthly billing date, which stays the same each month, and you can find your exact date and amount due by checking your MyBell account online or your paper bill.
If everything appears to be correct, then please contact Bell Customer Service accounts and billing. The service representative should be able to reconfirm that your account is not overdue
For further assistance, you should contact Bell Customer Service Accounts & billing at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.
