Why isn’t me first bill prorated for the days I had the service instead of a full month?

Yes, I got the same thought. Bell is billing in advance and the billing starts based on when you order the phone and not when you activate your line. So, technically, you will be paying money for the period when you don't even have a phone from Bell. Looks like Bell needs to update it policy.

I changed my connection from rogers to bell. My first bill is showing some charges named (partial and other credit) which we didn’t asked to add. And I didn’t use any services with those charges. I want you guys to take those charges off the bill please and thank you.

All services are billed a month in advance. For example, if your account was activated on September 1st, and your bill is printed on the 7th, your first invoice will include charges from your installation date of September 1st - September 30th. In addition to your regular monthly charges which are billed one month in advance, your bill will include charges for your usage, rate plan and features from the date you activated or if changes were made to your account. On your bill & & also shown in MyBell you will notice a billing date. This date will remain the same each month as part of your monthly billing cycle. That means that your first bill could include charges for service for almost two months.
Your first bill will also include any service charges associated with the installation.
Your second and later bills will only include your regular monthly charges plus any fees or changes that you make to your service.
Bell requires payment for your bill within 30 days of the bill date.
I have attached a link to assist you in to better understand your first bill. Please reference the example that is included in the attached web link. It is pretty well self explanatory.

This is not true.
First invoice 7 days in which included Feb 29 and Full March. The bell rep said what you said and it will be correct in the next bill. The next bill had the full charge.
The issue here is that for the one day in Feb I got charged 8% of the cost for one day. It should be no more than 3-4% pro rated.

I’m glad others are asking this too! It’s not proper to pay for a service you haven’t received yet

I don’t understand either but we aren’t given options as Rogers and bell have a monopoly on the market! It’s ridiculous

I have a question about billing for Fibe TV services.
My billing date is the 4th of each month. On March 19, I cancelled Crave from my TV package. I have the confirmation that it was cancelled, and when I go to the Crave channel on my TV, it's no longer available. My April 4 bill (16 days after it was cancelled) still shows the full amount for Crave. If the March invoice was for the "coming period" (March 4-April 3), then the April invoice should have shown a credit for the half month that I was not using it. On the other hand, if the April invoice was for the "previous month" (March 4-April 3) then the bill should not have the full amount.
What gives?

Hi there @KD85,
Thanks for reaching out to the Bell Community 🙂
When you add, remove or cancel a service or feature in the middle of your billing period, we will automatically adjust the charges so you only pay for the time you subscribed to the service. Typically you will see a prorated adjustment within 1-2 billing cycles after making the change.
Please let the Community know if you have any other questions.

Why did I receive a bill less than 2 weeks after subscribing to Bell? Should it not be after a month?
