Is it possible to cancel my Fibe tv and internet via MyBell? I understand I can call on the phone but have trouble hearing sometimes and prefer a "written" confirmation that I've cancelled those services (but am keeping my land line).
Is there anywhere or any way, on MyBell, to confirm that I purchased my PVR / receiver from Bell way back when? I agreed to pay extra for a certain number of years and then it would "be all mine", as explained to me at the time. The online bills don't go back far enough to show this (over 10 years ago). There are no equipment rentals on my recent bills, also no option to "deactivate" my PVR / receiver like there is on the other 2 devicrs that play but don't record. Do either of these prove that I purchased it? I did read a thread elsewhere on here that a customer with a satellite receiver was told they had to return or pay for it even though they, too, were under the impression they'd purchased it.
Lastly, is it best to wait for labels to arrive in the mail or try to print my own through the "return equipment" procedure? I realize returning equipment does not cancel the service. And do we have a choice between using Purolator or Canada Post?

Good Day.
Thank you for your reply & concern. There is no need for you to return the remote control. You will need to return the remaining equipment, includng the power supply adapters, receivers, modem, etc.
If you do not return this equipment, there will be a non return fee applied to your account.

When we return equipment after closing our account this form asks if the "service has been installed". I dont' understand, yes my service was installed when I signed up two years ago but now it is not installed because I am sending it back. What is the correct response here?

Please refer to the web link that I have included below. Select > Fibe Internet. Fill in all of the required information fields on this form. Select > Yes. This will open up another box: * Fibe Internet User ID: Enter your Internet account number as displayed on any one of your previous Bell bills. The number shown will start with a: "bxxxxxxx"

Some customers may cancel their service order before installation. @WelshTerrier correctly points out that selecting "Yes" is the correct action if you cancel after the installation.

Help! I cancelled Bell fine TV but am keeping internet. Please tell me what equipment (and pictures, if possible) needs to be sent back to Bell? I am 75 and I don’t know which pieces stay and which ones go. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Unfortunately without knowing what equipment you have in your home, we can't overly give a definitive answer. Although, if you're keeping internet, there is 1 or possibly 2 things you'll need to keep and not send back.
1. You keep your modem for the internet. While we have different modem versions that look different, these are the most common up to date ones. If you have either of these, you would keep it:
2. If you happen to subscribe to Wi-Fi pods, this goes along with your internet modem to give it a signal boost throughout your home. If you have this equipment, you would keep it. This is what the pod(s) look like:
3. For the television, we have many different make and models of receivers. What you would need to send back is the receiver and the remote control for the receiver. He's some examples of what the receivers look like:

This I like. I am a visual learner with a learning disability around text and verbal direction.
Pictures help this 68 year old. Challenges like this question are not unique to age. True for all ages and I commented to a person on line that there is a lot of text being used in support references. I am considering the same change. Tv goes keep internet and good to know. Do remote Ethernet cable HDMI cable and box all go back box and power and remote make sense. I tend to throw the cables in although they really shouldn't be reissued in my opinion. They are a clear failure point.

When returning equipment, you just need to send back the actual device (whether it's a receiver, modem or VAP), the remote (if you're sending back a receiver) and the power cable that came with the device. The ethernet cord and HDMI cords don't need to be sent back.

I did return this modem months ago... went threw the post office got emails that confirmed the return... So now they are charging me for non-return fee! As if i have time to go threw this aggravation to prove that I did return their faulty modem that kept shutting me down... No thanks, I don't need the grief!!

I wish I could assist you in this matter, but I cannot. This is a community forum, a peer-to-peer site. As such, we do not have access to your account or billing records.
When did you return your equipment?
Did you return your equipment to Bell within 30 days? If you did not return your rental equipment within 30 days, an equipment non-return fee may have been charged to your account for each piece of rental equipment outstanding. E.g. Modem, power supply, etc.
Have you contacted Bell Customer Service & discussed this with a representative?
If you have returned rented equipment after being charged the non-return fee, it takes up to two billing cycles from the date you returned the equipment to receive the credit.
I can only offer the following suggestions to you:
- Do not lose your return slip that was provided to you by Canada Post.
- You will also receive a confirmation email from the Bell return center acknowledging the equipment has been received. The return center will update your account & an equipment return credit is processed.
