Cancelling Home Phone, Fibe/Satellite TV, Internet & Equipment return/refunds

Is it possible to cancel my Fibe tv and internet via MyBell? I understand I can call on the phone but have trouble hearing sometimes and prefer a "written" confirmation that I've cancelled those services (but am keeping my land line).

Is there anywhere or any way, on MyBell, to confirm that I purchased my PVR / receiver from Bell way back when? I agreed to pay extra for a certain number of years and then it would "be all mine", as explained to me at the time. The online bills don't go back far enough to show this (over 10 years ago). There are no equipment rentals on my recent bills, also no option to "deactivate" my PVR / receiver like there is on the other 2 devicrs that play but don't record. Do either of these prove that I purchased it?  I did read a thread elsewhere on here that a customer with a satellite receiver was told they had to return or pay for it even though they, too, were under the impression they'd purchased it.

Lastly, is it best to wait for labels to arrive in the mail or try to print my own through the "return equipment" procedure? I realize returning equipment does not cancel the service. And do we have a choice between using Purolator or Canada Post?

Thanks very much for any help or insight.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

How do equipment returns and refunds work?

Please provide us with more information in terms of the issue you are experiencing in trying to access the Bell equipment & return web site.

  1. What type of equipment are you trying to return & the purpose for the return?
  2. Is this return related to a cancellation of a specific service? Fibe TV, Internet, Satellite TV, etc. or
  3. Is this a repair return that needs to be sent back to Bell?
  4. If you are cancelling a service, you should have received return instructions and shipping label instructions from Bell.
  5. If this is return is related to a repair replacement that was sent to, E.g. Modem, receiver, etc., you would receive return instructions & a shipping label in the box with the replacement equipment.

Here is a step-by-step guide to returning Bell equipment, including mobile devices, receivers, Wi-Fi pods and modems. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions that are included in this tutorial:

Returning Bell equipment, including mobile devices, receivers, Wi-Fi pods and modems.

You’ll need the following information depending on the equipment being returned:

  • Internet account number: (b1 number) e.g.: bxxxxxxx
  • Fibe or Satellite TV account number: e.g.: 8455xxxxxxxxxxxx or 2000xxxxxxxxxxxx

After submitting the form, you’ll get an email with a return shipping label, tracking number and a scannable QR code that acts as your prepaid shipping label. If you have access to a printer, you can print out the shipping label. If not, you can take the email with you to the drop-off location.

Let us know & we will do our best to assist you with your equipment return.

Take care.

I have moved back to the US from Ontario, but did not have time to return my equipment before leaving. Is it possible to get a shipping label that can be sent from the US?

@BellPatricia

I have called on 10th September to cancel my bell home internet services (which is paid till 21st September). I told them I want to cancel my services as I am going to get more cheaper and efficient service. They canceled my services right away with my 11 days billing period still left in my account. This is ridiculous. I need someone to contact me ASAP.
