How long does it take when you start the number transfer process?.

I received a new phone with a temp phone number, now I want to change it to be my old phone number, how do i do that?

I can only assume that both numbers are active mobility numbers. Are you deleting the temporary account? You will need to contact Bell mobility at: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device. They will be able to complete this for you. Make sure have both devices readily available when you call them.

Can you transfer without paying a penalty?

13 days after bell installation and many phone calls to bell tech support my home phone number has not been transferred. Every time I phone I’m told it will take 24-48 hours.over a week and counting

When transferring your home phone number, it can typically take a minimum of two business days to be completed. You can learn a little bit more by checking out the article we posted above, under the Home phone number portability section.

When you called us directly, did the specialist happen to provide you with any details regarding why it is taking some additional time?
