Hi, I ordered an iphone 16 pro 3 days ago. It was just picked up by purolator tonight and their estimated delivery time is 11 days! So 2 weeks after I ordered. Why so long?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
Thank you for posting your concern. There is very little we can do to expedite a mobile phone on this website that has been ordered. We do not have access to your account orders & billing information.
The shipping times provided online are estimates based on the information provided by the delivery company. As you are fully aware, there is the possibility of a Canada Postal Workers strike starting on May 22, 2025. This in itself is the main reason for the extended delivery times provided to you by Purolator.
As was the case with the last Canada Post work stoppage, delivery times will likely extend even further.
Online delivery timing is based on the shipping method you selected at checkout, the region you live in, weather, supply & demand, work stoppages, & the capacity of the delivery company.
- Standard shipping: 3 to 5 business days (depending on region)
- Same-Day/Next-Day Delivery: today or tomorrow (based on time of order, stock availability and location)
- In-Store Pick-Up: within 2 hours (depending on stock availability)
Take care.

Hi, thanks for the fast response. It’s shipping with Purolator so I’m unclear why the Canada Post strike would cause the delay. I ordered a week ago and so far it’s just been at the first processing site. Bell is such a big supplier I assumed they’d have fast shipping. Thanks again for your help.

Good Day.
Thank you for your gracious reply. Simply put, a postal work stoppage will redirect shipping from Canada Post to Purolator. This in itself caused backlogs last time & will result in the same delivery issues this time. It now becomes a supply & demand problem that can be attributed to the volume increase caused by the work stoppage.
Take care.

I'd like to understand the point of pre-ordering a phone when it takes over 2 weeks and I still don't even have a shipping status of my order. I thought it could be a Samsung issue, but I read in many other forums that people got their phones having ordered them after I did. This is a bit frustrating. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7

Delays may also be longer on especially new or popular models of phones. There can also be what is called a paper launch, where a manufacturer announces a new device but does not ship at the time of the announcement. Manufacturers can also allocate shipping of stock of new phones to providers, to control stock numbers. Retailers like Bell have no control over these practices. All can cause delays.

I ordered my new phone exactly on September 12 but it’s already the day when apple is selling the phone and I do not receive any updates today and it says 2-5 days… it’s already 19 and I was expecting to get it today. My other friend ordered from Telus and he already received at his door. I know this is a different phone company but should be better next time to give a note or something to the customer.

Thanks for your comment. While I have heard nothing about the iPhone 17, in previous releases providers use a “first ordered, first shipped” practice. Then they ran out of phones and had to wait for more to be delivered from Apple. The only suggestion I can make is to have patience. You will get your phone, in time.
