I signed up as a new Bell customer a couple of months ago. I received an email saying that I can redeem a $100 pre-paid VISA card from Bell linking to promoprepaidcard. bell. ca (spaces added). Is this legitimate?

Thank you so much for your reply and the useful links!
I forwarded the email the abuse@bell.ca and they quickly replied that it is actually legitimate. I guess when I signed up, I was entitled to the card as a sign-up bonus.

The web link you have provided in your Post is not legitimate. Just treat it like Spam! Fraud, etc.
Bell does send an email message asking you to open a web link!
I recommend that you click "Mark as spam" from webmail (when you log in from http://www.bell.net) this will ensure the team managing Bell email service will be aware of this specific spam campaign, can investigate and block it. You can also send a copy of that email to abuse@bell.ca
Take care.

That is Great news!
Always remember, when in doubt, to check, double check & triple check. You did the right thing!. If unsure, do not open it up. Follow up & check it out.
These days, it sometimes is next to impossible to tell what is real or fake.
Remember to use the links I sent to you & forward them on to your friends!
Take care.

I received the same email and link but the link does not work. I get an Error 400 Bad Request message. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
