Since I signed up with bell a few months ago I have gotten great service with no complaints until today when I called to arrange for my security deposit back. The customer service representative was great she took care of all my questions. The sad thing is that she informed me that when I signed up with bell a few months ago I was lied to about my security deposit the girl that signed me up told me I would get it back in 4 months but now I find out it’s 6 months. Now I have to wait another 2 full months before getting my security deposit back. Not good at all.

Good Day.
We do not have access to your account or billing records on this site. I would suggest that you once again contact Bell Customer Service explaining your issue & if you do not received a satisfactory answer from the service representative, then ask to speak to a manager.
Do you still have an account with Bell? If so, have you made all of your payments in full & on time over the last 2 years?
When a security deposit is returned, Bell normally applies the security deposit and any earned interest against any outstanding amount owing, then will refund you the balance of the deposit, if any, within 30 days.
Generally speaking, when the conditions justifying the deposit have changed (typically, when you make six monthly bill payments in a row, in full and on time) the security deposit is applied to any outstanding balance owing or refunded to you? Have you met this minimum basic criteria?
In some cases, because of your credit rating or usage charges, Bell may require a refundable security (or safety) deposit. This may happen at any time during the term of your service agreement. We will give you the reason why we're asking for a deposit.
If this is not the case & your account has not been credited your deposit or refunded to you; have you contacted Bell & discussed this with a Bell Customer Service Representative? If not, then you need to do so.
For postpaid, call: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device For Prepaid, call: 1-888-537-9999
Take care.

I was required to give us a security deposit despite being a past Bell customer with great credit history, and they promised to return the deposit after six months and they didn’t. They credited my account with the amount as opposed to returning the money directly to me, good luck getting your cash back.

Heh.... no problem. It is okay to shoot the messenger. It appears rather straight forward to me. Your account was credited with the security deposited as promised. Can you elaborate & provide us with further specific details if this did not occur? Please tell us more.
You said: "They credited my account with the amount as opposed to returning the money directly to me."
I have included a copy to the information that is readily available & was provided to you in your agreement when you signed up with Bell.
