Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

You cannot pay your bill with a debit card. You can pay your bill online by logging in your financial institutions application or website & setting upBELL ONE BILL - 14 DIGITS as a payee.

You can also set up a pre- authorized payment or one time payment with either your bank account details or credit card  on MyBell.

You can use any of the following methods of payment:

  1. Pre-authorized payments from a bank account
  2. Pre-authorized payments by credit card
  3. One-time bank account payments
  4. One-time credit card payments

 Paying my bill online (bell.ca)

Thank you for reaching out.

Take care.

Thank you very much WelshTerrier, for the quick response.  I was able to setup my credit card for pre-authorized payments.
 Cheers!

Good Day.

Heh @Belauser more than glad to have been of assistance to you.

Setting up pre-authorized credit card payments with Bell takes one to two bill cycles to fully register in the system. You can sign up in minutes online, but it's important to make a one-time payment to cover your current outstanding balance, as the pre-authorized setup won't apply to the bill that's already generated.

If you have an outstanding balance on your current bill to be safe, please make a one-time manual payment. If you overpay, your account will be credited & any overpayment will be applied to your next monthly bill. Do not adjust your pre-authorized payment.

Thank you for reaching out & providing the feedback.

Take care.

If you have set up preauthorized bill payment, does the outstanding amount just get debited automatically from you bank account?  My bill says please pay by today but there has been nothing taken from my bank

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Yes, if you have preauthorized bill payments set up, your outstanding account balance gets debited automatically from your bank account each month.

Please note: If you recently signed up for pre-authorized payments, then you should have made a manual payment for your first payment to be safe. If you overpay, your account will be credited & any overpayment will be applied to your next monthly bill. Do not adjust your pre-authorized payment.

Bell processes your payment upon receipt. Bell does not process the payment in advance.

Once your payment is received your account is updated immediately. The processing timeline they follow depends on the payment method you choose to use. For example, the following is a table of the payment guidelines that presently Bell uses.

Pre-Authorized Debit: Every month, up to 18 calendar days after the bill date

Pre-Authorized Credit: - Every month, up to 7 business days after the bill date
