Transfer of Responsibility and Upgrading

I just took over my phone from my family's old plan using a transfer of responsibility and my phone was eligible for an upgrade before the transfer.

My account is brand new, and I am wondering if I am still eligible for an upgrade from the old plan, or if I have to wait some time do to my plan being new.

That would depend on your account and the result of your evaluation when you completed the transfer of ownership. 

A good way to find out is to check your hardware upgrade eligibility via MyBell.
