I received an email purportedly from Bell telling me that I don’t have a method of payment

I have been paying by credit card for some time

is this a valid Bell email?

Okay…this is helpful.  At least I know that if I block ebill@bell.ca  then I won’t receive my invoices, so that doesn’t seem to be an option.  I’m using an Ipad and the email software that came with it.  I clicked on “how to check email header” link but couldn’t double click it and couldn’t really figure out how to proceed from there.  So, I’m wondering if there’s an email address at bell that I can send the offending spam to; could they detect who’s sending it and block them for me?  If possible that would be a solution.

Failing that, I could change me email address to another account on my MYBELL profile and my invoice from Bell would go to that address and I could block this sender on my Ipad. Or, I could change my software client to an Outlook address and use that as my primary, as my old email address has been distributed on the dark web to the scammers.

Or, I could just live with the aggravation of this one sender who is sending about three emails a day.

Appreciate your opinion on the best way to go.

I am having the same issue since December. I am Not getting Ebill Notifications in my mail.

I have been receiving them for years ... more than 10-20 years.

They are not in my SPAM mail. In that same time period, ie, since December, I have been receiving fradulent phishing emails from ebill@bell.ca (at least 5 per day)  I have tagged these as PHISHING and have sent them to phish@bell.ca and to abuse@bell.ca. I chatted with an agent last night and we got no where. He told me how to log on to go and get my bill. That is NOT the issue.  I know how to do this. The BELL ebill@bell.ca  has been Spoofed. Please fix it. If you cannot send me my ebill notification via my sympatico address, send my notification by mail (at no cost to me).  I saw on other sites that I am not the only one with this issue; a spoofed ebill@bell.ca   FROM  address

It's odd they are coming through, because it's fairly simple for the mail server to block spoofed from fields.

If you know how to check an e-mail header, a simple X-Original-Hostname should reveal the hostname/ip where the address originated from.

Keep getting e-mail Your Bell-Bill is ready - account number 2690***** amount $298.67

It looks legitimate - but it is a fraud - if I sign into my Bell account - it is a different account number - and my BILL is not ready yet. How can I inform BELL - so that they can trace and stop this garbage - keep getting the message quite often some times twice in  the same day one at 10:00 an another at 11:00 - also keep getting messages from McAfee Associate - saying it is from e-Bell - asking top renew my account - this is also SPAM.

BELL IS THERE A WAY TO STOP ALL THIS - THANKS

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum

Next time, do not waste your time.... just "Delete"! If it is a phone call' "Hang up!" There is no reason for you to talk or reply to a fraudster. They want to talk to you. There is no requirement for you to connect with them in any way, shape or form.  They want to sell you something, steal something from you or add you to their live contact list!

Reputable companies such as Bell, banks, utilities & highly regarded services & institutions do not send you messages or make calls such as this! They do not call you asking to provide personal information. Hang up! Report the fraud! Delete!

I have included this web link that will assist you in reporting security issues,

I get at least 5-10 scam emails every day.  They vary from 'you have a delivery / Elon Musk / known stores / McAfee etc.  The return address is ebill@bell.ca

I can't block the domain because it is in my safety list for communication with Bell.

How can I stop these?  Help please !!

I was just coming here to write the same thing - it's getting worse and Bell needs to do something to stop this.  I have send a number of these to abuse@bell.com however, after a weeks worth of 10 per day it's getting a little old.  I hope you get a reply to this issue as I need the same thing and I'm sure we are not alone!!

Have a great day!

I went into Bell chat and told the 'agent'  they said to send them to phishing@bell.ca  I have sent many with no response.

I am getting numerous spam emails with the same source. Most are using/hijacking the ebill@bell.ca address.
Can no one at Bell, a supposed tech company, Stop this?

Hi in the past couple of months I have been getting phishing emails from ebill@bell.ca - about a dozen a day, all with different topics that are clearly unrelated to bell services. I don’t want to keep opening them to mark as phishing in case opening them is part of why I keep getting more.

Hi, For the last several months I have also been receiving a staggering number of daily phishing emails. Many look like they're coming from Bell until I double check. These I forward to phish@bell.net. Then I block & delete. But they've still kept coming. Yesterday I logged into my Bell Webmail. I opened "settings" and started double checking everything. Under "safe senders" I was shocked to see a number of strange emails. No idea how they got there. I deleted all of the odd ones and today I only received one phishing email. A very welcome change. I recommend checking this out and deleting anything you don't recognize. Hope it helps.

Assume every email suggesting something needs to be done urgently (even from a friend or family member). is a scam.

DO NOT CLICK on any link in the email!

Instead, contact the alleged email source directly.  if its a website, type the address to the site directly into the address bar, to be certain you are not being sent to some fake site.

Check to see if there is really a need for urgency.  Chances are it is a scam, and everything is fine.

Be sure to check monthly that all your apps, system software, and virus/malware protection are all up to date.

I had a look at my safe senders too and there were a few suspicious ones. I've deleted them and hope that might slow things down. There have been 25-30 phishing emails a day lately, all duly reported and blocked, but it hasn't helped at all. There are 11 in my email just this morning. So frustrating!
