I have been paying by credit card for some time

is this a valid Bell email?

Looking for phone number,

Only have email saying account is overdue, but isn't my regular account, don't know what service it is for, only have information on the email.

gave me a phone number for Virgin to call?

It seems that this phishing has been on-going for years and is still continuing. It is now March 2025 and there are multiple scammers using ebilling@bell.ca to send fraudulent messages. I have blocked them several times, which means I it prevents me from receiving copies of my e-bills. They now must be sent to another e-mail address. I cannot understand why, as a telecom provider, Bell cannot investigate this matter and at least attempt to put a stop to it.

I got one from that address today, supposedly from Canada Post, saying my parcel was on hold due to an incomplete address.  I do have a parcel in transit.  I also have a tracking number from Canada Post, which tells me that it is safely en route.  This tells me immediately that it's a scam.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum

Thank you for sharing this with the members of the Bell Community Forum. Without seeing the message, you are more than likely correct that it is janother example of a Scam!

Next time, do not waste your time.... just "Delete"! If it is a phone call' "Hang up!" There is no reason for you to talk or reply to a fraudster. They want to talk to you. There is no requirement for you to connect with them in any way, shape or form.  They want to sell you something, steal something from you or add you to their live contact list!

Reputable companies such as Bell, Canada Post, banks, utilities & highly regarded services & institutions do not send you messages or make calls such as this! They do not call you asking to provide personal information. Hang up! Report the fraud! Delete!

Thanks. Because by coincidence I did have a document en route to a customer, I logged into my Canada Post account to check on its status.  That took a second and professionally I want to be accountable to clients.  I didn't do anything with the original "Bell" e-mail except delete it.  I wrote about it here so that anyone getting similar purporting to be Canada Post, they might see that particular pattern.

"Reputable companies such as Bell, Canada Post, banks, utilities & highly regarded services & institutions do not send you messages.... "

Actually, I did subscribe to updates on the status of my parcel so getting status info was not unexpected.  I'd not memorized Cda Post's address, but the "Bell" seemed off.  Since i have a business account with CP, I simply went there.  Since CP had auto-completed the address and I had checked it, an "incomplete address" (per message) was rather implausible.

I keep getting phishing emails.....cannot block sender or domain as it is showing as coming from ebill@bell.ca  which is the same as where I get My Bell online billing from.  I am getting several every day, mark them as Phishing and delete them from the Junk box.  I have also forwarded at least six to phish@bell.ca  and they just keep coming.  Any suggestions as to how I can stop this?

Also receiving several of these a day. Bell should be able to recognize when emails are spoofing their own accounts and block these obvious scams.

Unfortunately these emails are the bane of online life. I receive them, as well. I just keep tabs on my bill so I know what’s happening.

My e mail account is suspended for some reason. I called 310 -SURF for assistance (to reactivate my e mail account as per my account setting) and got the run around.

I think the reason why my account is suspended as I report some issues (via abuse@bell.ca) where i was getting these e mails from someone that their address mimicked ebill@bell.ca . If I blocked that e mail address, my bell bill via e mail would get blocked too. I complained several times to Bell and based on the suggestion from Bell I forwarded a bunch of those e mails to phishing@bell.ca and abuse@bell.ca as i was getting at least 12 - 18 e mails a day for the last 6 months of so. I think they just suspended my account in general instead dealing with the issue and now I am not getting any e mails.

I am trying to get my account reactivated but no one seems to know what is going on there and I was told that someone would look into and get back to me in 48 hours or so to see if they can reactivate my account.

In the meantime, my e mail account is suspended until who knows when. Does anyone have any suggestions how can I get my e mail account reactivated?

Thank you for your question. As you are asking an account question, we have no information to add, as we do not have access to any billing and account information in the forum. You will have to contact Bell directly, as you have done.

Good Day.

Were you advised by Bell that your email account was suspended? If Bell suspended your email account, there is little we can do to reactivate your account on the Bell Community Forum. Issues such as this cannot be resolved on this website. We do not have access to your account & billing records.

There has to be a reason for this suspension. Reporting spam, phishing & abuse emails is not a basis for your account to be suspended. Reporting security issues : Reporting potential security issues

Your best source of information will be in discussion with Bell Customer Service & Internet Tech Support. Have you contacted both of them? If so, can you please provide us with some further details that were provided to you by the service representative.

You mentioned that your problem has been escalated and that Bell was looking into this and would get back to you within 48 hours.

  • Were you given a case or ticket number?
  • Did you escalate your concern to the Bell Management team? If so, did you provide them with a clear summary of your concern, including the date and time of your initial contact with Customer Support and the names of any agents you have spoken with?

If your concern remains unresolved, please fill out the form in this weblink & the Bell Management Team will respond within three business days. Resolve-a-concern

Thanks for reaching out. My e mail account has been reactivated earlier today. Sending all those emails to abuse@bell.ca resulting in my e mail account being suspended temporarily.
