Bell Streamer Voice assistant screwed up after recent software update

Recent software update (last week June 5,6 ,2023) seemed to render Voice Assistance feature useless. Saying 'CNN' or 'go to channel 500' returned  not found and was offered some other suggestions.

I could not find a way to revert back the previous software level.

Hope somebody can offer some solution.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
We'd recommend trying this to see if it resolves your concern.

  1. On your receiver go to settings.
  2. Under device, go to settings.
  3. Select device preference.
  4. Select language
  5. You will see 3 options: English (Canada), English (United states), Francais (Canada). Please select your preferred language. If it is already on your preferred language please select another one and then go back and re-select the appropriate one you want. 

Please try this out and let the Community knows if this resolves your concern.

Due to not able to posting replies earlier now I can confirm that the issue has disappeared ... maybe due to software updates recenlty?

I thought it’s been like this for a few months now. The best way to use Google Assistant with Bell is to use the dvr.

However, the Android system Webview indeed has a recurring issue that its update becomes not able to be installed again after this sys. update.
