Hello,
i am having the following problems when using a vpn on my firetv stick or the bell streaming box. The vpn is hosted in montreal.
vpn is an app on firestick and on bell streamer android box.
1. Bell fibetv app doesnt recognize that im a bell fibe internet subscriber and i am at home. Only allows me to stream 1 fibeapp at a time.
2. Certain channels, abc and nbc will not work when connected to vpn.
i disconnect from the vpn and the problems persist. Ive even rebooted my bell wifi router and the problems persist.

Hi there @Kw,
Welcome to the Bell Community 🙂
Do you have a Bell Fibe TV subscription, or are you just subscribed to the Bell Fibe TV app?
Please share a photo of any error message you are getting so the Community can take a closer look.
Can you clarify if you have installed a VPN directly onto the Bell Streamer, and which VPN you use? When watching the Bell Fibe TV app we recommend turning any active VPN off, as it can affect the geolocation and cause issues when viewing content.
Are you using any third party equipment such as a router? If that is the case, please ensure your devices are connected directly to your Bell modem instead.
There are a few different threads in the Community that we believe you will find helpful as well. Please check them out, and join the conversation if you still need help.
- Multiple users on Bell Fibe TV app - maximum number of devices registered

- US and Timeshifting channels on the Fibe TV App

Hi Patricia, So it means that if I am watching fibe tv on my computer and want to do banking or other services which I should protect myself I have to stop watching do my stuff and go back to to your app? So if this is the case my question is: What VPN streaming service Bell is supporting?

Hi patricia,
i am using a vpn service directly on the bell streamer. It is saying i cannot watch certain channels when not connected to bell wifi. But i am connected to bell wifi, i just have a vpn on for privacy reasons. Yes the service returns when disabling vpn, but this is super inconvenient and i agree with JanJ. Is there a 3pp vpn service bell will support
