Now that Bell has all Satellite channels to 91 and shut down 82 . Is it possible to bypass the switch set up and connect the lnb cables for 91 directly to my Pvr ( 9242 )

Good Day.
Yes, you can do so. It is unclear to me why you would want to do this. You can bypass the switch setup.
In any event you will still need to run the "Check Switch". It is a diagnostic function that allows your receiver to test the connection to the satellite dish and identify its signal path. When you run "Check Switch," the receiver sends a signal to the dish's LNB and confirms the correct configuration for receiving programming, which helps resolve signal-related issues and ensures your channels are working correctly.
- The Check Switch test runs a system test on your satellite receiver.
- It helps to diagnose problems with your satellite system.
- It verifies the signal and can help identify if there's an issue with the dish alignment or the receiver.
I will leave this for you to decide.
Take care.
