I lost end of Blue jays opener and last of home run derby.
Hopefully Bell takes this as suggestion. Rogers was 3 hours

Hi there @Zippy
We appreciate your feedback. At this time, our best recommendation for recording when only the 30 minutes is available is to record the program coming on afterwards.

You can set your Bell TV 4K pvr & your receivers to stop recording at the scheduled time or by choosing any one of the following time stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min., 1 hr., 2 hr. & 3 hr.
Just select pvr on your remote & choose add a recording & select your recording options & then select your stop recording option.
You can also do the same on the Bell Fibe TV app. as well on Fibe TV from any web browser.

You are correct.
You can only set your to "Stop recording" Fibe TV Cloud PVR at the scheduled time for any one of the following time stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min.
The 1 hr., 2 hr. & 3 hr. stop increments are not available.
I do not work for Bell. I am quite sure someone from Bell will review your suggestion & if possible implement such a change. It only makes sense if there is any kind of demand for this.

How can we get Bell to look into this? 30 minutes is not enough time to extend recordings of sporting events.

Is Bell going to do anything about this problem with Fibe TV not giving you the option of more than 30 minutess?

Bell is better at recording capacity, replay programs without recording via Restart and much more cheaper billing structure.

This is true, but with no fast forward on restart, it makes using it for a 3 hour football game impractical. Also, the game I recorded didn’t offer a restart option. Thirty minutes is not enough.

Bell Aliant, for eastern Canada has extended record. The thing I miss most is being able to do manual record times.I just like recording hockey intermissions, but now have to record whole game.Again,Bell Aliant has that option. If it’s all Bell, should be an easy fix for us in Ontario to have those options too.

That’s good to know. Thanks for posting that information. I assume Bell monitors these forums so hopefully we will see this feature in the near future.

What about manual recordings for specific days and times?
Say I want to record from 7:45 - 8:15 only on Saturdays?
If Bell Aliant has these capabilities, can we in Ontario not have them with an update?

Not with the 7802 box. The best you could do is to start a one-time recording at that time, then turn on the receiver to stop it if the program’s end time isn’t desired, and repeat the whole process on the second day. The 5662 box is just like Cogeco.

For the 3rd or 4th time, a recording timed out on me. MLB time slots are 3 hours. I add 30 minutes to the recording time. Today, in the bottom of the 9th inning the recording was at the 3 hrs and 30 minutes mark but the game was not over. So the recording just ends and I don't get to see the end of the program. OK, I know who won based on the circumstances at the time, but THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!
